Owe No Man

OWE NO MAN …(Romans 13:8) is EMM’s response to a crisis that is now five times greater than it was a decade ago. Having debt can feel like a ball and chain around one’s ankle, making it difficult to move forward. Unfortunately, this has become the norm.

We are besieged by advertisements when we listen to the radio, walk through a mall, watch TV or surf the internet. Courses in money management are practically non existent in public schools and everyday advertisers persuade our children that spending is a virtue. It’s obvious that this clutter can divert us from our financial goals and even lead us into debt. Is it any surprise at all that the personal savings rate has dropped to an all time low?

The culture of consumption or the habit of “instant gratification” is one of the major factors explaining this trend of household borrowing. In every family’s quest to feel good financially, debt is the most common enemy.

The Owe No Man program offers Bible based financial education to inform and assist individuals and families.

Services Offered: Free counseling and educational information on budgeting, personal finance, financial assessments, savings and spending practices, the sound use of consumer credit etc. while providing Biblical teaching on stewardship, giving, prayer and other topics.

Family Education Program:

The Family Education Program centers around a monthly magazine called, "ACTIVATED!" and is supplemented with other follow-up material geared towards those who are old & new in the Christian faith. The Activated! magazine will help you learn how to tap into God's power through prayer, studying His Word & putting His principles of love into practice in your daily life.

Our Family Education Program is also committed to the distribution of a wide range of educational & inspirational printed, audio & visual products for adults, teenagers & children.

Created with the participation of professionals & volunteers from around the world, our products promote social & family values. Some of our materials, such as the Get Activated series, emphasize Christian values of love for others & a personal relationship with God, with up-to-date tips & advice on how to apply faith to everyday living. Others, including the highly acclaimed children's video & audio series Treasure Attic, are designed to help children build character, develop basic learning & social skills, cultivate good habits, & explore the world in which they live.

Our Family Education Program's goal is to make a difference in a world where our busy schedules often crowd out the things that really matter- love for God, love for family & love for others. Our hope is that our materials will brighten your life & the lives of those you care about most.

Missionary Support Program:

Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to everyone, everywhere,” (Gospel of Mark 16:15) Jesus told His followers.

Everyday in different countries, our career missionaries share Jesus’ message of hope and love with many thousands. They take on roles of facilitators and motivators to positively influence and help others make a difference in their community and country. EMM is committed to meet the needs of missionaries in their work of fulfilling Jesus' Great Commission. see Policies & Procedures

Our services include:

a.) The generation of interest & enthusiasm for missions with accurate & up-to-date information.

b.) Procurement of material support for missions in as large a measure as possible.

c.) Training of prospective missionaries on outreach & church growth ministries.

d.) Coordination & organization of community services and/or humanitarian relief efforts.

e.) Helps for missionary families who choose to home school their children.

f.) Assistance in income tax preparation & Revenue Canada matters.

g.) Greater Toronto Area bill paying services for missionaries stationed over
